Tallula's, Modern Mexican restaurant in Santa Monica - Airbnb
Tallula’s is an ingredient-driven, neighborhood Mexican restaurant located in Santa Monica Canyon, just a few hundred feet from the beach and just off the Pacific Coast Highway. Named after partners Josh Loeb and Zoe Nathan’s daughter, Tallula’s is a fun, vibrant, and delicious place to gather with friends and loved ones for post-beach drinks on the patio and in the colorful bar, or dinner in the airy dining room.
The kitchen is overseen by Rustic Canyon’s award-winning Jeremy Fox, whose love for great ingredients and passion for Mexican cuisine shines through in the rustic and soulful menu. Jeremy utilizes sustainably-sourced seafood and meat, heirloom grains, and seasonal, organic produce from the nearby Santa Monica Farmers’ Market and other local purveyors he knows and trusts, with all the tortillas, chile pastes, and moles made in-house. Desserts are created by Zoe Nathan and Laurel Almerinda, and focus on deeply-satisfying, ingredient-driven takes on classic Mexican sweets.
Bar manager Aaron Ranf (Rustic Canyon, Esters Wine Shop & Bar) curates the craft beer selection, as well as the cocktails, which span from traditional Mexican drinks to beach-friendly thirst-quenchers, with a focus on agave-based spirits, housemade syrups, and fresh ingredients from the farmers’ market. Rustic Canyon Family of Restaurants wine director and Esters co-owner Kathryn Coker crafts a fun and eclectic menu of 30 wines from boutique producers around the world.
