'George' by Samuel Noir
I strive to create an atmosphere of strong contrasting light, framed in a background of gritty urban scenes that I like to call Urban Noir. I take snapshots of my life that pull the observer into that moment and emotion. That's what its all about for me, showing moments of my own life. I've found the most important part of painting is to have the viewer believe the light is real. Light creates emotion, and the greater degree of emotion I create, the more successful I feel the painting is.
