'70s HiFi Painting' by Wyatt McDill
I consider this painting to be a triple threat: a beautifully-designed object, pleasingly rendered, and framed in attractive dark brown faux leather and black tacks. With each painting, I try to achieve a balance between what the eye sees and what the mind feels, so that the viewer can impose their own nostalgia, beauty, and storyline on to the subject when they look at the painting. My paintings have appeared in "Better Homes and Gardens" publications and at Room and Board stores nationally. In addition to being a painter, I am also a filmmaker living in Los Angeles - my best known film is "Four Boxes."
