'Abstracción Para Kandinsky (Abstraction for Kandinsky)' by Juan Jose Hoyos Quiles
This is one of a series of acrylic on canvas paintings, each 12" X 12", painted simultaneously in November 2015. Although all of them are "abstract", I purposely tried to make them as different from each other as possible. I worked within the confines of hard edge, reductive, color, form, rhythm, pattern and figure ground relationships. Influences include Gene Davis, Kandinsky, Mondrian, Barnett Newman and Ellsworth Kelly. The colors wraps around the edges or are white, so there is no need for framing. Ready to hang as is. Would look great as a complete group together, but are sold individually.
If you are interested in all six, make an offer. Each one is titled, signed and dated on the reverse.
