Campbell Tract Loop National Recreation Trail

Over 730 acres of land in Alaska's largest city awaits the day hiker. This area is one of the most popular areas used by locals. Over 12 miles of trails are here for you to explore. The area is home to moose, bears, wolves and salmon as they move upstream during the summer. Dogs and horses are allowed as well as bicycles. Maps of the trails can be found in the Google search below. Be sure and stop by the Campbell Creek Science Center during your stay.
View Point Trail is also known as the Tour of Anchorage Trail. This is a nice trail that gives a leisurely hike through gentle terrain. Wildlife viewing is good in this area year round. Salmon can be seen spawning at the trailhead during the summer months.
