Buri – the name means 'super' in Hiroshima dialect – is one of Ebisu's most popular tachinomi-ya (standing bars). On almost any night you can find a lively crowd packed in around the horseshoe-shaped counter here. Generous quantities of sake (more than 40 varieties; ¥770) are served semifrozen, like slushies in colourful jars.
