Dating to 1902, M Manze started off as an ice-cream seller before moving on to selling its legendary staples: minced-beef pies. It's a classic operation, from the ageing tilework to the traditional workers' menu: pie and mash, pie and liquor (a parsley-based sauce), and you can take your eels jellied or stewed. Vegetarian pies available. Eat in or take away.
